I have three EDWARDS families, but I do not know how they connect or even if they do connect.

  1. MARIA EDWARDS married EDWARD STANLEY on the 11th October, 1659 in St. Andrew Parish Church, Bebington, Wirral. She died in Storeton, Wirral and was buried on the 27th January, 1680 in St. Andrew Parish Church, Bebington, Wirral.

  2. JANE EDWARDS married JOHN STANLEY on the 24th December, 1717 in St. Peter Parish Church, Heswall, Wirral.

  3. JOSEPH EDWARDS, son of JOHN EDWARDS, a Liverpool farmer, married EMMA SUTTON on the 10th March, 1841 in Our Lady and St. Nicholas Church, Liverpool. Emma Sutton was the daughter of JOHN SUTTON and ELIZABETH CLARK of Reeds Farm, Bidston, Wirral. Emma and Joseph went to Reeds Farm for the birth of their first child, Elizabeth. Joseph worked as a farm labourer and later a farmer in Moreton.

    The children of JOSEPH EDWARDS and EMMA SUTTON are:

    1. ELIZABETH EDWARDS, b. August 22, 1841, Reeds Farm, Bidston; bapt. September 30, 1841, St. Oswald Parish Church, Bidston.

    2. ANN EDWARDS, b. April 13, 1843, Moreton; bapt. May 21, 1843, St. Oswald Parish Church, Bidston.

    3. MARY EDWARDS, b. November 25, 1845, Moreton; bapt. January 04, 1846, St. Oswald Parish Church, Bidston; m. WILLIAM PATTINSON of Wallasey, son of JOHN PATTINSON, October 03, 1867, St. Oswald Parish Church, Bidston.

    4. MARIA EDWARDS, b. April 21, 1848, Moreton; bapt. June 18, 1848, St. Oswald Parish Church, Bidston; Sarah's twin; m. FRANCIS WILLIAM THEOBALD of Bidston, son of JOHN THEOBALD, June 19, 1871, St. Oswald Parish Church, Bidston; emigated to U.S.A. in 1887.

    5. SARAH EDWARDS, b. April 21, 1848, Moreton; bapt. June 18, 1848, St. Oswald Parish Church, Bidston; Maria's twin; m. WILLIAM WILSON of Bidston, son of JAMES WILSON, August 21, 1871, St. Oswald Parish Church, Bidston.

    6. JOHN EDWARDS, b. June 13, 1850, Moreton; bapt. July 21, 1850, St. Oswald Parish Church, Bidston.

    7. MARGARET EDWARDS, b. October 02, 1852, Moreton; bapt. December 05, 1852, St. Oswald Parish Church, Bidston; d. 1854, Moreton; bur. September 11, 1854, St. Oswald Parish Church, Bidston.

    8. MARGARET JANE EDWARDS, b. March 10, 1855, Moreton; bapt. May 06, 1855, St. Oswald Parish Church, Bidston.
