JOHN STANLEY (ROBERT7, ROBERT6, JOHN5, HENRY4, GERARD3, HENRY2, RICHARD1) was born in Wallasey, Cheshire and baptised on 28th January, 1778 in St. Hilary Parish Church Wallasey, Wirral.

He married ELIZABETH STUBBS, daughter of JAMES and MARY STUBBS of Dodleston, on the 172 September, 1797 in St. Paul Church, Liverpool. They reared their family in Dodleston, Cheshire, where John worked as a tailor. Eventually he returned to the Wirral with his family. John farmed and developed Carr Farm, Saughall Massie into a 105 acre farm.

John died on 15th March, 1859 in Saughall Massie, Wirral and was buried on the 20th March in St. Oswald Church Parish Church, Bidston, Wirral. ELIZABETH, his wife, died on 10th December, 1857 and was buried with her husband on 13th December, 1857.

ROBERT STANLEY (JOHN8, ROBERT7, ROBERT6, JOHN5, HENRY4, GERARD3, HENRY2, RICHARD1) was born 1798 in Dodleston, Cheshire and was baptised on the 13th April, 1798 in St. Mary Parish Church, Dodleston.

He married MARTHA SANT on the 6th April, 1824 in St. Mary Parish Church, Dodleston. John Dodd and William Stanley witnessed their marriage. Martha was a little younger than Robert and was born about 1806. They lived in Dodleston until about 1832, where Robert worked as a tailor. Then, Robert and Martha moved to Handbridge, Chester. In 1851, Robert was described as a small master tailor employing no men and his daughter Jane was working as a dressmaker. They were living in 39, Grovenor Street, Chester then.

Robert died in Milton Street, Chester in 1865 and was buried on the 21st September, 1865 in St John Church, Chester aged 67 years.

MARTHA STANLEY (JOHN8, ROBERT7, ROBERT6, JOHN5, HENRY4, GERARD3, HENRY2, RICHARD1), was born in 1800 in Dodleston, Cheshire and was baptised on the 16th March, 1800 in St. Mary Parish Church, Dodleston. She married THOMAS DODSON, a blacksmith, on the 6th August, 1827 in Heysham Church, Lancashire. Thomas was born in Heysham. According to her father's will and Martha was deceased in 1859, so must have died between 1851 and 1859.

JOHN STANLEY (JOHN8, ROBERT7, ROBERT6, JOHN5, HENRY4, GERARD3, HENRY2, RICHARD1), was born in 1804 in Dodleston, Cheshire and was baptised on the 30th December, 1804 in St. Mary Parish Church, Dodleston. He moved to Wallasey with his family, where he stayed until he married.

He married MARGARET PYE on the 27th May, 1829 in All Saints Church, Childwall, Liverpool. Henry Pye and John's cousin, Ellen Garner, were their witnesses. John died in Wavertree, Liverpool in 1876 and was was buried in All Saints Church yard on the 22nd August, 1876. Margaret who lived all her life in Wavertree, Liverpool, died in 1885 and was buried with her husband on the 22nd August, 1885.Thomas died 1881

MARY STANLEY (JOHN8, ROBERT7, ROBERT6, JOHN5, HENRY4, GERARD3, HENRY2, RICHARD1) was born on the 28th October, 1812 in Dodleston and was baptised in St. Mary Parish Church, Dodleston on the 22nd November, 1812. She returned with her family to Wallasey and then lived with her parents on Carr Farm, Saughall Massie. She married married HENRY WILKINSON, son of WILLIAM WILKINSON and ELLEN BIRD. Henry was born in Upton and baptised in Holy Cross Parish Church, Woodchurch, Wirral on the 10th April, 1814. They worked a 121 acre farm in Saughall Massie.
