The children of RICHARD WADESON and ELIZABETH are:
Generation 2RACHEL WADESON (RICHARD1) was baptised on the 25th February, 1749/50 in St. James Parish Church, Burton in Kendal, Westmorland. She had a son, JAMES WADESON. Rachel died a spinster and was buried on the 26th June, 1824 in St. James Parish Church, Burton in Kendal at the age of 74 years.The child of RACHEL WADESON is:
Generation 3JAMES WADESON (RACHEL2, RICHARD1) was born in Burton in Kendal, Westmorland, and was baptised on the 15th July, 1781 in St. James Parish Church, Burton in Kendal. He married his first wife, perhaps Martha of Stainton, who was buried on 27th March, 1806 in St. James Parish Church, Burton in Kendal. James was living in Stainton, when his daughter Martha was born (Census 1851) in his second marriage.On June 06, 1808, James, a widower, married ELIZABETH SWIFT of Beetham in St. James Parish Church, Burton in Kendal. The witnesses at their marriage were Isabella and Thomas Swift. By 1816, They had moved to Holme Mill, Westmorland, where James worked as a tailor. It was here, Elizabeth died and was buried in St. James Parish Church, Burton in Kendal, onthe 28th March, 1816. She was 27 years old. With young children, James married NANCY PARKER (PARK), widow, on the 3rd February, 1817 in St. James Parish Church, Burton in Kendal. The witnesses to their marriage were John Scot and Mary (Margaret) Clarke. James died on the 26thSeptember, 1850 aged 69 years in Holme. Then Nancy went to live with her daughter, Martha, and her son in law, BENJAMIN HARRISON, where she was recorded in the census as a widow. They lived in Church Street, Holme, Westmorland. Joshua, Nancy's unmarried son, also lived with them in 1851. Nancy died on the 17th June, 1855 in Holme, aged 73 years and was buried on the 26th June, 1854, St. James Parish Church, Burton in Kendal. The children of JAMES WADESON and ELIZABETH SWIFT are:

Generation 4JAMES WADESON (JAMES3, RACHEL2, RICHARD1) was born on the 5th November, 1810 in Holme, Westmorland and was baptised on the 25th December, 1810 in St. James Parish Church, Burton in Kendal. He married HANNAH WILKINSON, daughter of BETTY WILKINSON, on the 24th July, 1833 in St. James Parish Church, Burton in Kendal, Westmorland. Witnesses to their marriage were James Clark and Martha Parker. Hannah was baptised in Beetham Church on the 29thAugust, 1814. James was a hand loom Linen weaver.The children of JAMES WADESON and HANNAH WILKINSON are:
RICHARD WADESON (JAMES3, RACHEL2, RICHARD1) was born on the 10th September, 1817, in Holme, Westmorland and was baptised on the 5th October, 1817 in St. James Parish Church, Burton in Kendal. He married SARAH DENWOOD, daughter of JAMES CRAGG, on the 25 th December, 1837 in St. James Parish Church, Burton in Kendal, Westmorland. Witnesses to their marriage were Thomas Scott and William Hayfield. Richard and Sarah lived in Holme and raised their family there. At first he earned a living as a weaver, but by 1881, he was a watch maker living at 1, Burton Road, Holme with his unmarried daughter, Martha. Sarah died in Holme aged 54 years and was buried on the 19th September, 1872 in Holy Trinity Parish Church, Holme. Richard died in Holme and was buried on the 21st March, 1890 with his wife. ROBERT WADESON (JAMES3, RACHEL2, RICHARD1) was born in Holme and was baptised on the 25th June, 1820 in St. James Parish Church, Burton in Kendal. He married FRANCES BOWMAN (spelt Baumer in church record) on the 30th December, 1839 in St. James Parish Church, Burton in Kendal. They lived in Burton in Kendal for some years then moved to Pendleton, Lancashire, which is part of Salford. They both died in Salford. Fanny died on the 25th December, 1879 age 59 years in Earle Street, Pendleton. Robert died a year later on the 11th May, 1880 aged 59 years at the same address. The children of ROBERT WADESON and FRANCES BOWMAN are:
ISAAC WADESON (JAMES3, RACHEL2, RICHARD1) was born in Holme and was baptised on the 13th March, 1825 in St. James Parish Church, Burton in Kendal. He married PHOEBE HOLMES, daughter of HENRY HOLMES and SUSANNAH SMITH,on the 12th January, 1850 in St. James Parish Church, Burton in Kendal, Westmorland. Phoebe was baptised on the 30th July, 1826 in St. Mary Parish Church, Long Preston, Yorkshire. Isaac worked as a mechanic. The children of ISAAC WADESON and PHOEBE HOLMES are:

John was baptised on the 28th October, 1832 in St. John Church, Preston, Lancs. He married MARY ANN BLAMIRE on the 28th November,
1853 in Hutton Roof Church, Westmorland. Mary Ann died about 1862. Margaret and John lived two doors away from Margaret's father, Richard, in 1881.

NANCY WADESON (RICHARD4, JAMES3, RACHEL2, RICHARD1) was born on the 25th January, 1841
in Holme, Westmorland and was baptised on the 7th February, 1841 in Burton Parish Church, Burton in Kendal. She met
JAMES WILCOCK, son of JAMES and ELIZABETH WILCOCK, when he moved to Holme and she was living with her family. James and Nancy went to Barrow in Furness.
They married in Ulverston Registry Office, Cumbria on the 23rd January, 1865. Nancy's sister, Dinah, and Ellis Ambrose witnessed the
marriage.
DINAH WADESON (RICHARD4, JAMES3, RACHEL2, RICHARD1) was born about 1846 in Holme. Dinah was in
domestic service in Barrow in Furness, Cumbria. She met RICHARD PARRINGTON. They married on the 26th March,
1866 in St, George Parish Church, Barrow in Furness, Cumbria and continued to live in Barrow in Furness, Cumbria.
Richard died between 1777 and 1881 and Dinah married JOHN NEIL. Dinah died about 1917.

JAMES WADESON (RICHARD4, JAMES3, RACHEL2, RICHARD1) was born in Holme and baptised on the 20th
October, 1848, Holy Trinity Parish Church, Holme. He married MARY ANN BRADY in 1870 and
continued to live in Holme. In 1881, they resided in 42, Church Street, Holme. They both worked in the coca factory; James
as a labourer and Mary Ann as a sorter.
Mary Ann died in Holme and was buried on the 27th October, 1920, Holy Trinity Parish Church, Holme.

EDWARD WADESON (RICHARD4, JAMES3, RACHEL2, RICHARD1) was born about 1851 in Holme. He married
MARGARET A. and moved to 13, Marquis Street, Halifax. Edward was a boot and shoe finisher.

SARAH ANN WADESON (RICHARD4, JAMES3, RACHEL2, RICHARD1) was born in Holme and baptised on the
16th March, 1853 in Holy Trinity Parish Church, Holme.

JOHN DENWOOD WADESON, b. 1872, Holme; bapt. February 25, 1872, Holy Trinity Parish Church, Holme.
JOHN JOSEPH WADESON (ROBERT4, JAMES3, RACHEL2, RICHARD1) was born on the 24th May,1858 in 48
Sovereign Street, Pendleton, Salford, Lancashire.
He married ELIZABETH COOK, daughter of WILLIAM COOK and ELIZABETH WELSH, on the 25th December, 1877 in St. Mary Parish Church, Eccles, Lancashire.
They lived in Salford for some years then they emigrated to Australia with their son, William Bowman, daughter, Fanny, and John's sister, Rachel Wadeson,
aboard R.M.S. "Almora". They arrived in Australia on the 27th October, 1881, but unfortunately the two children died on board. Elizabeth
died in Kogarah, New South Wales, Australia on the 29th October, 1891 and was buried on the 30th October, 1891 in Rookwood Cemetery ,
New South Wales.
On the 9th January, 1897, John Joseph married SARAH JUDE BROADBRIDGE in St Pauls C of E Church, Kogarah, New South Wales, Australia.
In England he was a flax dresser, but became a joiner and builder in Australia. John died in 1948 in Rockdale, New South Wales, Australia.
The children of JOHN WADESON and ELIZABETH COOK are:
ANN WADESON (ISAAC4, JAMES3, RACHEL2, RICHARD1) was born in 1857 in Preston, Lancashire. She married
THOMAS GREENER on the 24thJuly, 1880. They moved to Tong, Staffordshire after their marriage and Thomas attended St. Marks College, London,
in 1881 taining to be a teacher. Ann and their baby daughter, MABEL WADESON GREENER, lived in Bentham with her uncle, Christopher Holmes, while husband at
college.
